Meaning: English saint, bishop of Cartenbury. He was murdered by knights of king of England Henry II in 1170. Pilgrim badge from Cartenbury. Very popular badge, many different patterns were found; not olny badges but also ampullas for water. (first ampulla from Cartenbury comes from year 1170!) This pattern is a replica of finding from Rotterdam from years 1350-1400.
